All offices are different in terms of size, occupancy and structural limitations, our customer was advised a price over the phone by another supplier who made assumptions which made their solution sub optimal.

Initial Assessment

The internal room layout had plenty of walls giving us the opportunity to install a budget friendly wall mounted air conditioning system, however the external route of pipework / trunking required to place the outdoor in the required rear of building location would be unsightly and require an increased pipe-run resulting in additional cost both in materials and labour.

System Selection

Having identified a low section of wall beneath a window it was decided that a console type system would be ideal both for size, position and route to outdoor location. The console units take up a spot on the wall similar in dimension to a traditional radiator in width and height, but slightly deeper in order to house the fans which offer much better Air flow than convection heating.

Piperoute.

Interconnecting cables and copper pipes are concealed within the indoor unit, the panels are removed to service, once the routes are cored out the unit slides over the top to hide the route, resulting in a tidy finish. From here the route to the outdoor unit is <3m with the outdoor unit mounted to the external wall

Heating and cooling

This office, due to its location, suffers from a cold dip during the cooler winter months, our solution will provide energy efficient heating at a 4 – 1 ratio. For each kw in 4 kw of heating will be produces. Compared to the small 1 – 1 kw fan heaters this is a no brainer for long term energy saving. During summer these will also provide cooling to keep the office at a bearable temperature, maintaining staff comfort and productivity.
